A McSame Presidency Foreshadow

This morning I caught Gawker with 3 videos of MSNBC, CNN and even Fox News almost going to verbal blows with Tucker Bounds, the McCain campaign spokesperson. If you want to know how a McCain Presidency will look, you need surf no further.

Tucker stubbornly refuses to admit, even in the face of all three networks blasting him for untruths, that McCain is telling any lies. All he does is try to push the attention off his candidate and back onto Barack. Now I get campaigning, and I understand stretching the truth. But the McCain/Palin ticket have apparently decided that the truth does not matter at all, and if you simply deny it long and hard enough perhaps that will work. Sound familiar? Yup, you’ve heard this kind of thing before – from anyone trying to protect Bush and his lies re. the war in Iraq. John McCain has now demonstrated that not only his policies, but even his personality and integrity are identical to Dubya.

Last night on CNN David Gergen commented that the press are starting to get pretty pissed off, feeling like they are being played. Well, I guess if we can go to war on a lie and let it slide, then there’s no real reason why not to have a President based on a whole bunch of them, huh? They disgust me and are detestable.

At the very least, on both MSNBC and CNN last night there were questions about whether the campaigns are “balanced” in their truth stretching and who really is on offense here – it was clearly stated that the McCain camp is much less truthful and really is responsible for the ugliness of this election. David Gergen even commented that the press is starting to feel played and getting rather mad – this is a good thing. Perhaps they’ll grow a spine. Because it is important that we don’t just have a “fair and balanced” amount of time, but an actual fair appraisal of what is being said. I applaud the news services for calling out the blatant lies and deceptions that are being put forth and pray that they’ll continue.

So here’s the link to Gawker – it’s only about 5 minutes to watch all 3.

Pray for our country.

Actually, lately I have been starting to enjoy watching the mainstream media. I hadn’t for so long because they were so useless, trying to make everything balanced. stupid.

Balanced reporting makes sense when it needs a balance, like the pros and cons of drilling, or solar vs nuke or or or or. But do you balance a murderer? Oh he killed her, but maybe she deserved it? lol

If McCain is lying, call him a liar, and prove it. Don’t let them get away with it. And the reporters are starting to do just that. I have seen quite a few interviews where the anchor asks over and over and over and over and over, the same exact question, to try to force an answer. its not working, but eventually it will have to, or the media will stop interviewing them until they do.
