Any thoughts or experience with developing on
this?  I have installed it on win98, winxp, win2003as,

ubuntu

 , opensuse,

debian

 -etch,

mac

  os x....so i know
it is at least diverse...

its just an IDE. specifically designed for JAVA. the supposed advantage is its plugin architecture, but to me it seems pretty complicated. I keep trying it, and then uninstalling it because it gets in the way of my dev style.

I would assume if you are doing java, eclipse is the way to go, or any compiled language for that matter. but for scripting languages it really seems to be overkill.

Ive done the same... install, delete, install delete and I have yet to find any reason to stay with it.

 beans is better for java or if you want to pay, intellij idea is very nice.
>net beans has a very nice swing gui editor, as close as you'll get to visualstudio with java.
