Hey guys.
Do anyone have experience of getting Zend installed? I am 99% positive I have done everything needed but when trying to run a Zend encoded application I am being told it aint installed. Would anyone mind giving a lil Limey, southern shandy swilling spammer a hand ? Thanks Jason m0nkeymafia

Hey JD - just got in... what was the issue?
ukgimp
the se
linuxfirewall Jason. Turn that fisher off, that has even prevented me from running a webserver at times. RH10perkiset
If you can do it -
I run an instance of IPCop in front of all my boxes - one reasonable box and a fast NIC into a switch talking to all your boxes and you won't have the firewall / protections issue again. Really good stuff. Also then provides a VPN platform, so that you can get into ANY service on any box that you want to make live, because you're VPN'd into it rather than exposing the service publicly. Did I mention that it is REALLY good stuff? /p JasonD
Security Enhanced
Linuxisn't a firewall but an extra layer of defence. It's definately worthwhile having installed and deployed (depending on your paranoia level) but it cvcan be a pain in the arse if you don't realise it's there! |
