Good luck! I just told this a co-worker of mine. He is also looking for a certain way to run OS X on his PC.

I toyed with this a few months ago but no joy. Sounds like its easier now.

I downloaded the torrent to my dedicated server, downloading it now to home base so I can burn it onto a DVD. I'll give you a play by play. I've chosen an old Dell laptop as my test victim, as I've seen some people have reports of success with those.

It extracted fine, I just burned it to DVD (been busy this weekend), I'm going to give installation a go in just a moment. I have a client who needs a script written so I've been plodding along on that.

I was scared at first but then i remembered i use norton
ghost and cannibalized hard drives literally from the
side of the road sometimes, so i can hose any drive
i have and then have it right back.... murphy and
universe willing...

(side note: i use norton ghost for win images so i can
immediately back track after doing an experiment and
get everything back.. good for proof of concepts to
show they work as well ive developed some seriously
solid configs this way... anyone know how to do this
for

and part->part would do me justice but i guess it isnt
a sector for sector, byte for byte app... how to do in

This is a SERIOUS HARD CORE LOW LEVEL HACK
for windows xp it does everything and is freeware check it
out!  Even the login screens, sounds, alladin lamp effects,
window rollers everything its _seamless_ ...
if you must windoze DO THIS.. its sweet.

I use the Rk Launcher instead of the dock panel that came
with flyakite

  cause it has the minimized windows in
the dock as well that you can see a snapshot of and maximize.

Even if you dont have ghost and you trust windows system restore
it does a restore point automatically right before install in case
it doesnt quite mix with your employers computer   what an
eye headache relief to use this like a

near anything awesome... crashed.  grab some lucida font
packages yourself somewhere too...

 . Everything I like about

  is under the hood. This is more of a fun "because I can" project. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder though.

i bought a visiontek grfx card and i have
dual monitors plus a third display through
SVHS output ... 1024x768 but 35 inches
big screen tv viewable... i think

You should be able to use Norton Ghost or PowerQuest Drive Image to make a

Linux

  system image, just like you would Windows.  Alternatively, you can do command line stuff with "dd" or "cpio", but an imager is going to be more straightforward.

I'm going to have to check this out now, the time investment before seemed like a little much for a "maybe" working box.
