Anyone figure out a way to bring up the numeric input pad when you click into a text input field on a webpage form? the behavior by default is to bring up the normal keyboard, but I would guess there must be an attribute I can add to the text field that will inform the phone that its numeric and should bring up the numeric pad? I can't seem to find it though, so maybe it doesnt exist?

an example of another

iphone

  specific attribute is: <input type="text" autocorrect="off">
so i am guessing there must be one. and if not "HEY

APPLE

  ADD THIS!"

I will let you know if I come across it. I think some of the

iphone

webpages that I use have something like this.

nutballs

i thought so as well, but cant seem to find one that does it.

Did a bit of searching because I thought this was cool beans if possible... the best I found was this, which does not have what you are looking for NBs but does have one or two tidbits in it...

Cool! if i get an 'unlocked'

iPhone

  does
that mean i can go to any provider and
use it?

Has anyone gotten skype to install on
the

iPhone

 ?

Perk, how do you keep your family
and your

iPhone

  at the same time? lol
my buddy had one and when his
wife was watching their baby it and
all of its husband stealing powers was
mysteriously 'flushed' down the toilet.

Coincidence? you decide.

Careful with that - it is doable, but you're way outside of

Apple

's desires and they could brick you when you're not looking...

I have not, but I saw a VOIP demo on an iPod Touch - it was almost all in a terminal with no GUI but it worked. That'll be around soon I'm sure...

I got almost all of my family one and now they are equally addicted. Looking forward to the new 3G models in the spring/summer so that I can offload my current phone to the few remaining members of the family that don't have one  Applause

There is a WebApp called IM+ for Skype (hxxp://s4

iphone

.com/no_index.jsp). Just open this page with your

IPhone

and start skyping. I heard there are still a few bugs, but i tried it once and it worked for me. This WebApp is only a trial version, you have to pay 25 $ for a lifetime license or 4.95 $ per month.

nutballs

i want a USB cable and software that will let me use my

iphone

as a virtual monitor and keyboard for plugging into

mac

hines that dont have a monitor or keyboard attached. Like my server in the corner of the room.

But really, 3g would be nice for remote server management, assuming a TSclient will be available for it. Dont know that I could justify the cost to upgrade though.

I have skype installed on my

iphone

but clueless about this feature...as the basic need to have it is to have video chat with guys on other platforms or conversation with our board members on Rhubcom turbomeeting.
