So I've been watching the processors on my new 8-core and sometimes (seemingly spontaneously, but I know it's not...) I'll start getting a lot of activity across all processors, sometimes 1 or 2 cores will max out and such... so I started looking around and [top] reports that LaunchCFMA is taking between 5 and 37% of my processor time...
A quick look about says that LaunchCFMA is a code fragment manager and that most likely a Carbon application is trying to start but got hung. Doing a kill -9 [the process number] got rid of it without incident and all was cool. I don't have a clue yet, but I'd wager that some web thang is trying to fire off and having trouble... I'll post again if I find the culprit. /p |
