Quirksmode is So Fishing Good. I use it all the time, even sometimes as simple functional resource, not just for discrepancies between browsers. We should get that guy in here.

For understanding more about unobtrusive
javascript, Christian Heilmann's original online course is still very useful:http://www.onl inetools.org/articles/unobtrusivejavascript/Also, to balance out recommendations of Prototype, I'd also recommend JQuery - http://jquery.com/ - as another good library for small to medium effects. some bells and whistles:
Ajaxloading gif generatorhttp://www. ajaxload.info/perkiset
There are some *sweet* little code snippets in that site... I've downloaded all of the JS and CSS on it and am gonna give it a look. The first thing I really liked was that in IE the "Indicator Type" drop down is captions... but in Safari it's the images themselves... a nice little yummy for people of different browsers.
I'll post if I find something really interesting... NICE ONE arms /p m0nkeymafia
quality stuff
can i throw mootools in the mix? its about 20% of the size of prototype and works just as well plus you can make it smaller by customizing what you want perkiset
Talk more man
m0nkeymafia
er.. well goto http://mootools
.net/they got a cool thing where you "tick" what features you want and it creates the libraries you want on the fly and u download it so if all u want is a few faders itll be a few k, or if u want all bells n whistles about 20k [but still loads smaller than prototype] try it its cool arms
