At the base of the BoardIndex.template.php the forum lists the number of people active in the last X minutes.

As profiles are a good source of traffic i wanted to increase the time that the links to the profiles stayed down there yet if i increased it to 100 minutes in the admin section i didnt want to show active in the last 100 minutes as it looks crap...

so after some discussion with EG i finally found where it all lives....

In your themes folder there is a languages sub folder
in there open index.english.php (Assuming your english language - or look for index.yank.php Wink )
search for $txt[140] and you can alter the minutes to a static value

also there is a whole stack of text values in there that may be nice to alter..... im like a kid in a candy store sweet shop

jobs a good un

Funny, EG worked me through that one quite a while ago as well - thought you had that all nailed!

I'm trying to figure out what the benefit of this would be.  Are you talking about improved SERP from the profile links (comments elsewhere about people searching profile names to find other boards), or something else/in addition?

Please be gentle, I'm a n00b.

Thanks--
