Anybody try Django?

i'm liking it. i used it for a smaller project (just a local app to do some of my chores), but i'm thinking of using it for something more ambitious.
in theory it should scale but i don't know of any larger sites using it except pownce, and it looks like they growing their user base carefully with invites.
just wondering if anyone has tried it, or knows of any serious pitfalls i might run into.
