And when will that be?

I'd wait. Google's Nexus 10 has better basic specs for $400 and bestbuy's insignia flex just knocked the bottom out of the 10" tablet prices at $250 (only 8gb, though).  Apple's going to have to up their wow-factor to keep market dominance.

I was going to buy an insignia for another guestpad but now may go with the nexus.

Ideally, it'd incorporate both.

"First, the shutdown inadvertently proved that the U.S. government already has all the power it needs to take down its copyright villains, even those that aren't based in the United States. No SOPA or PIPA required."

Worth a read. My thoughts exactly. Anonymous screwed the pooch this time.

I do no think the the Megaupload raid was retribution, as it was done via "old school" legal methods which require some time to get in order.  That said, I expect the shutdown procedure may have been nearly ready and it was moved forward a day or two just as a show of force.

BUT it is precisely because cases like this require TIME and (some) due process that they are proposing SOPA/PITA ...they want to fast-track this process.

All in all, SimpleMachines seems to have held up pretty well to xrumer et al when compared to the beating phpbb has taken.  But I notice that you're a few updates behind, Perk.

>More Conservative

The liberal/Dems have been strongly behind SOPA/PIPA and seem to be be slower to bail  ...which is why I suspect the Repubs are executing a tactical withdrawal.

Best quote:

“Why is it that when Republicans and Democrats need to solve the budget and the deficit, there’s deadlock, but when Hollywood lobbyists pay them $94 million dollars to write legislation, people from both sides of the aisle line up to co-sponsor it?”
