I am misinformed or does Perk have a nice DB class locked away somewhere around here?

I am rewriting one of my old programs to use sql instead of (increasingly) massive flatfiles...and I was hoping for some db class that would make things FASTER or easier for me.  Open to suggestions, thankyou!
