Whats the current "accepted" method of doing this?

We are doing a marketing campaign with a nice USB drive given as part of it. There is a video on it, and we want it to auto launch.

Obviously its autoplay, and lots of computers will have it disabled, so thats not the question.

Is it still flash as an executable? or is there some other method now?
