if you mean OSxAMP. I am actually wrapped up on my struggles, for the most part, and am going to post a concise walkthrough of it once I run through it one final time to make sure its right.

Excellent I was reading some of your mini mac posts, i will try it out and give to be posted walkthrough a go.

Is the general opinion of the cache that the macintosh version of *Amp or OsXamp as you called it the best choice?

I have always loved my macs because they just use themselves and I dont have to be so savvy to operate them.  That and the fact that they work.   ROFLMAO ROFLMAO ROFLMAO

Jairez, above, actually uses WTF-amp or something on his Macs... I personally recompile source for mine. It's a pain (as Nutballs will attest I'm sure) but you know EXACTLY what you've got and where it is, which is pretty damn helpful as well.

All that said, it's a BSD machine, so it's a pretty versatile 'nix box. I've read a lot of articles about people happily running old-school X apps on them and they work great.

OK ... so I've downloaded and installed MAMP http://www.mamp.info/en/mamp.html.  Set it, and forget it!  So?

I do need to confess, however, my requirements aren't nearly as stringent as the WH/BH dudes that inhabit this site - so I'll shortcut every now and again, and resolve myself to "slacker" status among those who's code I'm not qualified to comment.

Come on in the kiddie pool - the water's fine!

IMO.
