This deserves to live in the n00b zone, since I uber n00bed one of my PCs at home attempting to dual-boot it with Ubuntu and Vista. Although this is possible to do and I was happy to reduce my Vista to nothing more than my gaming environment, I wasn't really wanting to zap my internal drives in the process.
Here's the n00b part: my boot drive was stripped across two separate HDs (RAID0). It tried to reserve 30GB of OS room on my boot sector and invalidated both drives in the process. I'll never go RAID0 on my boot drives again. Sure it's fast but what a royal pain!
