Hi all,

May i know how much cost for iphone 3g on USA  
This is just curious, cause i've heard from friend of my brother the price iphone on USA is not so expensive in there, is that true ?

Add $300 to those prices if you're not getting a new contract, as I found out when my phone was stolen last month.

Bummer. Did you know that the "out early" clause from the AT&T contract is about $5/month? That means of you only have a year left, you pay $60 to get out of your contract. And if you're out of your contract, then you're a "new contract."

Last time I trust an AT&T rep, I guess. I was told canceling my account would cost $300.00 (roughly the additional cost of the new phone.)  :doh:x2

i "think" it does if you are over a certain number of months left. like under 18 months or something. Then the Buyout Option becomes available.

8 gig $99  , that's not so expensive it's very different in my country i think  ,
if that price only $99 i want to buy IPHONEEEE

u have the same problem as i have.
smart phones in USA are heavily subsidized by the phone company.
basically it is a way to lock u into a plan.

the "real" price of an iphone is closer to this. This is cashout price as in no plan
3G 8 GB   PHP 32,350
3G 16 GB   PHP 34,000
3GS 16 GB   PHP 38,850
3GS 32 GB   PHP 45,250
48 PHP per $1 US

If i sign up for a 2199PHP plan ~$60 a month cost is P13,150 or ~$300

I am not sure where u are.
But in PH everyone uses prepaid phones because it cheaper.
Also less hassle, no wasted time etc.

In USA/Canada they try and lock people into "plans".
So that way they can rip them off for years to come
So AT&T probably paid like $500 per phone, but they sell it for only $300.
Or maybe because they buy in such large volume, they can get it so cheap, and are selling it at cost.
