Found this http://www.perkiset.org/forum/music_technology/muse_receptor_hacks-t933.0.html and I thought u guys could help me out.

I just bought a used Receptor 1 PRO. And I been searching the internets for info about upgrading it from OS 1.7 to 1.8. I dont know linux so it is a bit confusing.

I found out that u have to update the kernel from 2.4 to 2.6 for 1.8 to work. Could anyone confirm this?

thx!

I don't know about the kernel update but do know that it was WAY more of a pain to update mine than I'd hoped it would be.

I'd say call Muse, their tech support will be about as reasonable as can be.
