Have you tried entering "Y" (note capitalization) on the keyboard when it says "Press Y within X seconds to force file system integrity check"?

If that doesn't work enter the root password and it will drop you to a shell, whenever you exit that shell the system will reboot. Run fsck on the root "/" file system and let us know the results.
