Evidently you folks are not big on VBS, but with such a group of master minds from all over the world, I know that one or two hundred of you have my answer on the tip of your tounge.

There is a script very similar to wsh... which runs VBscript, but has a lot more commands including window wait and etc...
It was a very popular script runner, but now I cannot find it anywhere.. if I could remember the name, I could probably find it , can anyone jog my memory.. it was something like kikit, but that is not the name... it was free.. and had quite bit more capabilty than just double clciking on the .vbs file name.. I think a double click on the file name just runs it on WSH .....
I also think it even had a different last 3 letters for the file name so it could be recognized..

I just cannot believe it will not come up under VBS tutorials on Google... it was just as easy as VBS and WSH, but had a ton more commands and stuff like "Wait" for a window..  Very nice but all gone.. and all you had to do was have a copy on your puter.. no complex installation required.

Thanks in advance for helping..

If u want to automate windows commands etc.
This might be what u are talking about probably
http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/index.shtml

You could also use WSH.

When i want to automate ussually I use python and connect to proggies COM/OLE interface.
They all use same underlying tech.

Thanks.. that is exactly the one Autoit.. surprised it did not show up under any of the vbs tutorial searchs...

I would use Python also, but have no knowledge of snakes and such.... just kidding... Hee...hee..

But autoit... if I remember correctly was much more friendly and had a ton more commands than wsh...
THanks again... I know I can always come here when no one else can answer my questions.

Shame I didn't see this. I use AutoitScript pretty regularly.
