Hey dog, does it do it when it comes out of sleep/suspend or just randomly?
Have you tried another stick to see if it does the same?

seems random yeah i tried two different sticks i am wondering if norton 360 is fishing with it or the hp usb printer is conflicting it obtw i had a thing called registryfix on the old pc (paid version). i ran the trial on this "new" hp box over 300 registry errors  |

Dog,
When you got some time reboot your machine into safe mode (hit f8 when it;s booting, select "safe mode") plug in the usb drive, leave it for ages :-P let us know the results.

... it sounded like there there was more to it. There was a hardware forum on day 1 and 2, but it got combined into Routing and Firewalls during the massive reorganization of April 20th 2007. I had trouble with one of these but it was gray power on the USB hub I was using. Does it behave identically on all USB ports on the machine? |

'k I remember a Microsoft help desk chick had me run a report with a windows tool. It made a gui with checkmarks for windows and none windows "services" <probably not correct term> running. |
