Hi,
The Cache was recommended to me by a member of another forum (vsloathe, who is also a member here) to help me learn PHP.
I won't be posting that much at the moment, just more reading and looking for resources so just wanted to say hello. If anyone has a recommended starting point for this topic I'm all ears.

WElcome! Ya man there are a few others here (me included) trying to get started... an excellent crash course, although for 5.0 and has some features maybe on the bleeding and not leading edge that is good can be found at the following address: http://www.w3schools.com/php/default.aspIf we do it right, this site here should end up to be an excellent one... And the necessary first program: <?php echo 'Hello World!'; ?>

Hi perk, thanks Jammaster.
I have bookmarked that link. More the merrier!
Happy new year and perk, you make me laugh every time I look at your avatar. How many variations of George do you have?

Welcome Blake - you've come to the right place.
Answers on code, answers on structure, its all here, and everyone is always willing to talk around a problem - which is a really effective way to learn (for me anyway).

Boatloads man - one of my favorites is still over at the Syndk8 - Dubya in the purple pimp hat. But because my blog is here also and I use it as part of the banner I thought it was most appropriate for that one here. He just seems to invite cartooning and harassment.

Welcome to the asylum. I recommend the PHP 5 & MySQL Bible. It has a lot of examples, and covers stuff I couldn't find reference to in other books. You might try some Gg-fu to see if you can nab a pdf of it. I was a total n00b on PHP until about 4 weeks ago. Still a n00b, just have a couple of scars now and still learning. =RT=

i was going to welcome you, but you've already got enough welcomes. I would not want to contribute to your false sense of importance.
