hey
i'm a java guy cuz thats what the trade college was teaching. i worked with java web apps (i want to say j2ee but it was just jsp) and a good amount of plsql. of course html, javascript and that. i'm funtional in perl, c# & vb.net, played with asp.net. i find myself using php more than i'd like but hosting is cheap. while i'm waiting for my java ide to startup i code everything else in python. mysql is my db and it makes me miss oracle. i like graphic & web design and im pretty good but i found out theres not  enough money in making pretty websites.
i like coding but like eating and sleeping more so eventually i will pay someone else to do it for me.
hopefully there will be lots code here for me to copy and paste.
also, i refuse to learn ruby.

Nice intro. Welcome to the Cache!

I have my own opinions, but why does MySQL make *you* miss Oracle?

lol@refuse to learn ruby

i was about to say stored procedures and triggers but then i thought to google it and it seems mysql 5 has both.
it just seemed a lot faster. especially on big queries. maybe we just had a good dba.
