Jammer - there are so many arguments about this being the next holy grail and complete snake oil... I found this to be the best article around about it. Rather than selling anything or even a how-to, this is a guy's blog about how he's tackling it to see if it actually works.

IMO this is way too detailed and ugly to be fake... I think it is for real.

its actually not far off for real.

samsung announced they are going to have a water powered phone out by 2010. not generate electricity from some water hydrogen station. literally fill your phone with (i assume distilled) water and go. the tests are 10 hours of use, which equates to 5 days of normal usage. but who cares, since you just "add water". i cant find the article now though.

I didn't see it, but I assume it is this:

http://www.rovion.com/

we looked at doing it for a client a bit back, it's pretty interesting tech. Not entirely unreasonable $$$ either.

ah true. a ghetto method of doing it, would be to composite the actor onto the same background as your page. So if a white page, easy enough. Though your would have to greenscreen the actor in either case, because hand masking video is teh totel suk.

patent office...   ROFLMAO

I've heard of this stuff off and on for a while, I remember reading about in the 60s-70s a guy invented a carburetor that could achieve 70+ mpg and promptly disappeared.  Don't make me...
