cosmos are gay if you drink it pre-made. if you make it yourself, maybe not so much.
metrosexuals are dumb if they think the more expensive vodka tastes better in a cosmo than the cheap stuff (not counting the rot gut).
cosmos are far less gay if you put it in tumbler or highball, though that would be a "closet cosmo"

Personally make mine with 4oz Citron, a splash of cran (barely enough to pink it) a dash of triple sec and a healthy squeeze of lime, then throw the lime in the shaker.
Serve in the shaker to keep extra cold. It's much more biting than sweet and less likable by the female of the species. Perfect

Agree, more expensive vodka, for the most part is ... just more expensive.

FRIS: vodka is imported and about 12$/750ML and six times distilled and
charcoal filtered a clean taste and crisp mouthfeel... i prefer it over more expensive hooch

I don't like to dilute my vodka with cranberry juice. Just give it a whiff of vermouth - roll it out of the glass, shake the vodka gently over ice (don't get too much water in there), put in like 6 olives (pref. bleu cheese stuffed, but pimentos are OK. The more the better because they have lots of lipids), and Bob's your uncle.

So, what's up with mixing all the fruity stuff with your alcohol?  Why not just put it in a glass and sip it neat?  Or, pour it over ice if you must.  Stoli that's been in the freezer overnight is highly consumable.

good ol jack daniels on ice...  reading this thread  vs'es dirty martini recipe was enough to make
me back flip off the wagon ... mmmMM!! lol

(skip the pimentos though and go with the blue cheese)

ummm.  So it was.  Oh well, it is Friday after all.

DVR.  Yeah!  That's what Grandma has.  She hasn't missed an episode of "As The Stomach Turns" in the last n years.  I like it.  Kept wearing the vcr tapes out erasing and rewinding them.
