Nothing per say went "wrong" with it.
In PH there are like 5 million nasty species of insects.
There is a species of ant(termite) that is totally white, and has wings it is about 2x size of normal american ant.
Anyway the fuker will land on a concrete wall. Fuking an hour later it will have drilled a hole 2 inches deep into solid concrete and will be living in it.
Fortunately there are not too many of those ones.
Another type of ant is a very small red one. it is like 2-3 mm long. If the fuker bites you, you end up with a huge red welt about the size of a 1/2 dollar. Also they seem to be very agressive, they just bite you regardless. Fuking things also eat anything.
They will eat a hard drive literally. Also they seem to like keyboards of laptops. (I lost keyboard on my old laptop this way).
Anyway i woke up and i caught them running all over my macbook. So i grabbed a bottle of isopropanol alchol and dumped it all over the keyboard. I then disassembled the macbook pulled out the keyboard, and then found the rest of the ants running arround inside and killed them with the alchol. Anyway they keyboard still works but was slightly damaged from the ants/alchol. In my haste to disassemble and get the alchol out of laptop i accidentally broke wire for keyboard backlight. Anyway I need to get replacement keyboard (probably a good idea incase ants attack again).
I heard there is another species of ant (fortunately very rare) that eats metal i think it is similar to the one that like concrete.
Needless to say warranty on my macbook is void
. If i had a spare macbook i would have just packed this one up and shipped it to the factory. On arrival all that probably would be left is the metal case and wires. And then the ants would think they are in heaven
. Not sure if ants are covered under apple's warrants
I have one girl all she does all day is wipes stuff down with bleach. You have to be on constant alert for termites/ants. First the ants invade your house, then then termites follow, and then in 2-3 years all you have is a pile of rubble.
Anyway bottom line is i need supplier for macbook parts, one that can ship over nite and to PH. To get shit fixed here ussually best if u do it yourself.
I guess testimant to macbooks reliability it survived an ant attack
