This sort of thing happens on a regular basis here, it's not a fluke to have a bouncy castle inflated in a vacant office.

Sounds like you are in heaven.. i wondered if that was real.. i used to work for a company like that... the first day i worked there, hooters girls rolled kegs of beer in on dollys and they had lots of wings... one day they called a huge meeting so they could get a guy a belly dancer for his birthday... they had a workout room with aerobics area, yoga mats, dvd player, free plane tickets every x months, heaven.
cherish it... other people are in shitty cubicles forced to watch memes and listen to weekend replays ....
id put a hookah in that castle and 9 monitors and make it my office~!

Working for a web 2.0 company - It's fun as hell and way more productive than the stodgy conservative world. They should stick with banks and life insurance. Sometimes I think our cultural clashes inside the US (at least in our industry) would be better understood if we realized that some come from a conservative business environment and others from a more open environment

I established long ago that any place that requires one to "dress up" or present a certain level of faux-decorum was not worth my time or consideration as a candidate for employer. When I have employed people, and mind you it's only been a few, I've made it clear that I don't give a rip what they do on their time or mine, provided they produce superior results. My philosophy when employing others is simple; I don't care how you work or when you do it. I don't care if you go home and smoke 5 grams of crack. It's your business, not mine. As long as you keep increasing my profits, I'll keep paying you. Granted I have always thought that looking for people who are a "culture fit" is important too. I think the "No Assholes" rule is a pretty simple and good one.

If you have women employed for you, a pajama day is a nice liberation from traditional dress codes.. they had that too... i worked in a code shop once and they needed a mandatory shower policy.. pee yew... the only guy that showered there willingly was the one that lived with his mother ... prolly just for the privacy hahah

There's nothing wrong with placing value on "getting stuff done". Personally, I'm a bit of a stoic and thus am more concerned with ataraxia/apatheia.
