I'm speechless, but thankfully I can still type. Here's a modified email I just received with the hilarious implications. I just hope it's not a 3G since I don't plan on eBaying it  Hello hackathon participant!
Thank you for your submission in our Code Share giveaway. We appreciate the time and effort you took to be part of our hackathon in late June, and then sharing your code with the community, and taking part in our Code Share raffle.
After taking your names and shaking them around in a hat, we pulled out the name of A isthisthingon who did a Google Earth - Chatter integration, which can be seen here. Congratulations, A isthisthingon!

You win Lord, and I receive your iPad with thanks  But seriously, I'm insanely stoked. Didn't do well at the event for a reason that's sure to tickle perks silly: I discovered towards the end of the timed hackathon period that Google Earth doesn't work in Ubuntu 10.04 and all I had was my laptop! But I went home and it worked beautifully in Win 7. Google did a great job with that API. |

I'm so damn excited. Talk about a great way to promote app development on mobile platforms. Give them away at a hackathon. I'm not jumping up and down to learn Objective C but pad-friendly browser apps? Definitely Thanks on the Pad coolness offer perks. I'll probably keep it in a dark underground hiding place for a while, calling to it occasionally "my preciousssssssss" |

 Hey Jairez - long time!! I miss your "muffins." As you know perks, I've got it right where I want it. I went ahead and ordered the keyboard + charging unit for it since having the iPad stand up with a keyboard just seems like it would be more conducive for what I seem to use it most for - movies and video. It's a really nice view port to a movie when you're snuggled in bed. If I could just find a comparable tool to DVD Decryptor and/or DVD Shrink for the iPad I'd be in heaven. I'm seriously not going to buy movies online with some creepy DRM hooks that will trash my investment when the pad dies  But damn the picture/playback rocks! |

ITTO - when you purchase something from the app/music/movie/book store and then sync to iTunes it will copy your purchases up to the machine so you won't lose them. Alternately, use Handbrake to take your scraped movies and convert them to an iPaddable format, then just move the reference (rather than the actual movie) into iTunes so you can sync to the pad. Apple purchases are also kept on record at the store, so if you try to download something you've already purchased it will allow you to download it again for free.
