A friend of PinkHat's and mine sent these pictures over, from a friend of hers that lives across town in a more rural area.

Apparently, a mountain lion chased this bobcat up the cactus and our friend's friend was able to grab his camera and long lens and shoot this truly once in a lifetime thang.

I am still trying to figure out how it got up (and eventually down after everyone had left it) without completely destroying it's paws and body.

Wow.  And ouch.  That 'cat's going to be feeling the pain for some time to come.

I'm surprised the mountain lion didn't try to climb up too.

Clearly, a much smarter cat. It must have been like something out of a bad Tom & Jerry cartoon, watching this cat get up and down the cactus.
