The back story is  that he is a videographer, and does work for a broadcaster making shorts for news.

He did this in one day of shooting, and one night of editing.

Roger ebert feels it should be up for an oscar for short film, for what that's worth.

The unexpected feeling for me was that i actually feel humanity and America might not actually be so fucked.
Life continues, regardless of the hardship, and people will always smile.

Interesting perspective. I understand your notion of Humanity Will Survive but at the same time my overwhelming feeling was none of what we do matters, once earth gets a hard-on we can be really fucked.
