So, first reaction is, bullshit!
Second reaction is, great another playstation-eye-toy like failure.

then...
you read the hands on reviews...

It looks like MS has a potential Wii killer, at least in tech. Of course they will need the fun/cute/fun games to follow suit.

The moment this is released I'll be getting me an X-box (always stuck with PS somehow).
I've always wanted to stand in front of a screen and say "computer.... engage!".... and then something actually happens (apart from my wife lauching her @ss off at me being rediculous)

Well all I can say is that you have to experience that 3D demo with Wii remote hack head sensor. You can watch video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jd3-eiid-Uw

I did that setup myself and let me tell you, the experience is completely out of anything you experience in current games. No matter how good the graphics are or how realistic everything looks, it still doesn't react to your basic senses and that makes it impossible to reach "immersion" with the game.

But after you tried how computer generated 3D world looks when it reacts to your head or eye movement, you realize what games could potentially be. I just can't imagine what kind of rush it will actually be when we get the first FPS with head movement tracking.

So I have a lot of faith in project Natal.

in a previous life, i used to be a VR hacker.

I even voted to form a newsgroup and was part of the founding group... and the proof is in the tubes. lol

whaddanerd...

havent touched it in almost 2 decades now. (wow)
but I had a full on home brewed, head mounted display, with haptic feedback, and gesture controls.

now, I think about it and think, wtf was I doing, and how the hell did I do that stuff???
