So at fry's electronics you show your receipt as you leave. It's stupid but it does reduce theft.
The line to leave is 10 people long.
For 10 people I had to listen to a skinny blond girl say over and over and over, with the most unenthusiastic deadpan voice, and blank distant stare.

Thank you for shopping frys, may I please see your receipt.

All the words were jumbled into 1 big new word.
And she was so insanely on auto pilot that she was asking even though the person was already holding out the receipt.

I own a Slap Chop, seriously.  But I've never removed it from the box.  It sits atop my stove as a decoration with his face leering at you while he clutches the Chop.  It looks like an ad for a Chris Hanson special.

Hot off the Ap wire, a few minutes ago:

Rep. Henry Waxman said his committee's investigation into the Gulf oil spill revealed that a key safety device, the blowout preventer, had a leak in a crucial hydraulic system. The California Democrat said in a second day of hearings into the spill that the investigation also discovered that the well had failed a negative pressure test just hours before the April 20 explosion.

oh theres your problem right there, the blowout preventer was malfunctioning. 

 

SO all we have to do now is just come up with a way to check
the blowout preventer all the time and make sure that the
blowout preventer is 100 percent functioning on all the
oil rigs.  the blowout preventer was the problem.  yup.
bad blowout preventer.
