The Republican tactic of overspending to break government is alive and well here. Note that we just keep cutting taxes, or refusing to raise them while we suffer a heat death. Our schools are 49th in the nation FFS.

When oh when will people realize that all the nice things they want (roads, police, schools, fire-folk etc etc) need to be paid, just like their bags of Cheetos and subscriptions to internet porn. Of course, roads, schools, police etc don't quite provide the immediate gratification of porn and Cheetos, but hey - sometimes you need a little more patience to see these things through.

The Reagan movement has succeeded in destroying much of our country and stupidifying our people. I don't know if it's recoverable.
