Google now has two factor authentication.
There is an app you can get for iPhone, and others, that generates a key number as a second authenticator to your password. Like a key generator fob for a bank or if you have done DOD work.

This is awesome IMO. And the iPhone app is really simple. Can do multiple accounts. To setup you just shoot a 2d barcode on the screen of whatever you are setting up on, like your desktop monitor for example. On top of it, they now have custom random passwords for external advice access, like reeder on the iPad for example. So you don't have Enter your real password. That temp pass only works for API access, not account access.

Also has phone authentication, where it will call your predefined phone number with your authcode. Plus other ways as well i think.

You can turn it on in your account settings. Under security.
