Price-Comparison Web Sites Accused of Fraud

"According to court documents filed in two separate state enforcement actions, the defendants’ price-comparison listings misled potential shoppers about certain merchants’ reliability and trustworthiness. And while one defendant’s Web sites represented themselves as neutral and unbiased, online merchants paid that defendant to render higher ratings."

Man that is just NOT good for folks like me. Some of my retail stuff is way big in the UK and surrounding ... a bad name passed to off-brand sites is nothing but harmful.

I suspect the Texas case investigation was started well before the new FTC blogger disclosure rules, but I'll bet that the new rules added plenty of heat.
