I bookmark everything.
The problem is, i can never find what I want because the bookmark, for all intent, is pointless. Because the bookmark is named something like boing-boing best software 2008, but I am searching for ssh client.

so... I wanted an app that would save the page somehow.
well, i use google mail, and google search is really good right...

so now I use this:  http://www.emailtheweb.com

yeay! I wish there was something even easier, but hell this is almost perfect. Anything I send to my email from this service I have getting auto-labeled as "bookmark" so I can search JUST my bookmarks, and it will match the content.

just thought I would share in case anyone else has the same need/frustration.

That's particularly hip if you're out and about... and I'd bet it's even better with the iPhone.

I just "save as" with Safari, which freezes the page - then I store it in my Notebook application (circus ponies software) where it is indexed and categoriezed. Interesting addition to all that nuts, thanks.

I used to use evernote and could do "save to evernote". but i realized that I am always searching for crap in my mail anyway.
Clients ask about something, i need to find their email, and the research I did. 1 stop search.

i just wish it was all in browser instead of some online service to grab the page.

If you use firefox, I like the ScrapBook extension. It will let you save a page to a destination on your hd with one click. You can organize them like bookmarks right in the browser.  https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/427

yea I tried scrapbook. Part of the problem is that I am VERY hard on my machine, so I cannot trust anything to stay there.
Also, MS search is not quite as smart as google search. In google mail I find things by being "close".

but yea, I did like scrapbook overall.
My favorite is actually still Evernote and I am tempted to switch back. Mostly because it web/machine/iphone
text,photo,video,audio.
