I have been thinking about picking up a "starter kit" for a while to see if I can get to work building Skynet but just curious if any of the geeks here were also into such a thing.

Never have but am a fan of the hacks built. It's very cool. Saw a bunch of stuff in Make mag several years ago. Brilliant.

I played with micro controllers in school ages ago.
They where a blast to code.
