place where i live.
normally the ocean is smooth as glass, but the wind is blowing towards us so sea level is up like 3-4 feet.
i think it is almost a typhoon not quite

i'm guessing the snorkling/scuba is a bit bad today

I don't know anything about snorkels/scuba i never go deeper then like up to my chest, i can not swim too well .
it stopped storming today, but the wind is still from the sea so the waves are still very big.
The water despite the storm is not cold.

Anyway I would hate to see what happens if there is a storm from the sea (typhon) and a solar tide at the same time.
(is that what they call it when the sun and the moon are lined up).

Not sure if owning a house by the sea is a good idea, but on the other hand if u live inland then u have to worry about landslides and it is too hot .
Also there are more mosquitos so u have to worry about malaria and dengue .

I live on the second floor so if there is a flood i will be dry

We call it a king tide. I live right on the water too nop, on the banks of a creek about two minutes walk from the beach. But I'd rather be here :-)

incredible view.
it's amazing how much people pay to live in crummy cities where you can't even see the sky let alone the ocean.
i could never swim in there though. too many sea monsters in the ocean.

You've got way more chance of dying in a plane crash, you afraid of airports?

i can jump from a diving board and swim to ladder. i'm a land mammal. not crazy about planes either.
