C / Ubuntu Question
«

So here I am yet again sailing uncharted waters - this time doing C in an Ubuntu environment. So, I went to build a simple 'hello world' application and when i try to compile it I am greeted with it telling me that <stdio.h> cannot be found.
From the research I've done that seems to me to be standard stuff. Also, i checked the include paths that Eclipse shows and the file is there. I checked the file system and sure as shit, there it is.
I've read a bunch of places saying i need this package or that package installed and every time i go to install one it's already there.
Any ideas?

Stupid question but have you done apt-get build-essential or build-essentials?

just to be silly, go to the root of the drive and type find -name "stdio.h" and see if it's there.
If yes, then it could just be path switches in your compiler.
