ok cool if those are normal i won't worry about it.  i am doing a LIMIT on the query to prevent it from pulling back a zillion friggen rows.

ok well cool it's working exactly as it should now so i'm going to quit my bitching and move onto bitching about something else.

im not positive, but about 99% sure thats normal for fulltext.
