http://www.pcworld.com/article/226385/sonys_playstation_network_disaster_what_happens_next.html
Not to add fuel to any fire, but about 75 million people just had their sensitive data stolen from PlayStation's network. Not that this will deter anyone from using their network in the future since a large portion of the users are kids. But if this was the result of providing security on the cheap, heads are gonna roll

It's a pretty remarkably bad PR disaster for Sony, and doesn't look to be getting any better.

Naah, just like any other big leak, nobody's gonna remember this in few months. Remember when Sony installed rootkit to your computer to "prevent piracy"? These things are gold to the press but are also forgotten quickly.

Seriously - we can't even remember what a disaster it is to relinquish human rights for a false promise of security, let alone remember some security "mix-up."

Glad I've got a Wii and not a Playstation. ;-)
I don't think I ever gave them my credit card information though, so if they get hacked too, I don't really have anything to lose. But there are plenty of online sites that DO have my data. Hope they bother to protect it better than most of them seem to.

Or Apple is recording your location info, and maybe or maybe not sending it back

Well Apple might think with me it is broken since I never leave my house
