I was just doing some tests/benchmarks on my home server and I found that you really want to set tcp_tw_reuse and tcp_tw_recycle as 1 or else your box will DDOS itself to death. That sparked the interest that what else is out there that's "good to know". I know there's probably 1+n million tweaking linux sites but you guys have real world experience and I'm interested in stuff that actually matters.

Btw, I was testing node.js & Redis .. christ the speed of those two is just.. pheeh.
