Hey all you nixxers - there's a thread in the Music section call Muse Receptor Hacks. There's a guy in there that is having a problem with his Receptor - it's a dedicated piece of musician hardware, but it's essentially a nix box running Red Hat 8. He is scared to death that he's going to lose all his stuff. He was trying to get in and gain root access and something got fubarred. Looks like the disk needs to be checked or something.

I was hoping that any of you *nix smarties might hop over to that thread and offer a hand to see can be done. I don't have all the data yet, but you folks might know better what to ask. I don't think he knows much, but perhaps I can interpret what you suggest as I have a similar box.
