Working away, hard as hell.
get a message from my partner that something I did earlier was not longer there on the website.
gone. She saw it before so she can confirm I did it.

About 45 minutes ago, same thing happened with other stuff I was working on. saved changes to files, then i was watching TOP of my database server, and load dropped suddenly to almost zero.

errrr wtf.

I think I know the culprit.
DO NOT use DD to create a backup of a drive.
I have my live drive, and a second drive which I was planning to do a nightly warm backup to.
I figured I would use DD to do a pure metal copy.
Um yea, don't
My guess is, mid usage, the OS jumped drives on me and started working on the drive that was out of date.

First, I did not know that was even possible... second, i need to go to sleep, i just used up all my ATP figuring out wtf was going on...

wow is that bizarre, and fishedup. Nice pick figuring it out, but yikes what a drag.
