ok i have this box: eserver xSeries 335 867611G

i read that it indeed has a watchdog timer .. (the remote power switch is already booked but i'd like to have my boxes together)

tried using it with the watchdogd(aemon) under OpenBSD which failed because "there is no watchdog timer available"

... searched around and found ways to disable it under windows Huh? (http://www-304.ibm.com/systems/support/supportsite.wss/docdisplay?brandind=5000008&lndocid=MIGR-40225)

i checked the BIOS and the PCdoctor util

i found in the pc doctor utilty that my "IBM Automated System Reboot" is indeed disabled (which of course is the default) ...

now if anyone would know how to enable this other than with that ugly ibm windows app i would be utterly happy

i hope this makes any sense to someone  Roll Eyes thanks
