I forgot just how shitty Windows is.

JTFC. spend part of my morning updating my Mac (which I will post on later) then have to go to a clients and build up a new Windows machine for one that just died.

So I'm working with Windows Professional (a CLEAR misnomer) and trying to do some reasonably complicated things. like starting FireFox. After going through about an hour of sitting while I reboot and let Windows do all of it's updates, I am treated to arguably the crappiest, least friendly interaction I can imagine. SLOW slow slow (granted this only a 4G core i5 but CMON) and incredibly clunky, it's amazing MicroShaft can get away with this crap. HORRIBLE.

I am spoilt because I get to run Windows apps via Citrix on serversO'death, so I don't usually get to, ahem, enjoy this experience. I just amazed at the incredible amount of difference. I'm amazed people put up with it.

LOL Well, if I had to do anything other than sit there while windows jacks off I might agree. But really. Just moving about, working with it is just a miserable experience.
