Good points all. I think I'll rest too because there's really nothing new anybody is bringing into discussion. ITTO still haven't convinced me that any of the lockdown things are deceptive simply because before you lock-in, they will tell you clearly that this is the case. Or do americans really just buy an iPhone, go home and then realize that oh shit, it only works on AT&T? Like perk, I really don't think Appstore is a problem for anyone except people who are deliberately making it a problem. I just read article like a month ago that illustrated very well how majority of the people are really happy with the fact that there's only one Appstore and it's all centralized. I can understand why. It's easy, simple and fast. You can argue that people would like porn to be there but I don't think it's really relevant. It's just one of those marginal arguments that exist but are so small that their weight is nonexistent. Is a Free argument? Tech world simply doesn't have anything else to discuss at the moment than Google vs. Apple battle so it's obvious that they cling onto the most stupid little things like some blogger crying how his app got declined. Btw, usually they don't ever show anything about their app. It was always the best and greatest app of all time. Apple gets their cut from every app sale so if it truly was the greatest, they probably would have took it in. I'm just saying...

I think with me it all boils down to telling the fact, asking and letting people decide. I know this is beating a dead horse but Google doesn't do well any of these on purpose. For example they have no page where I can opt-out from Analytics & Adsense surveillance. I had to manually block all connections to those IPs. Google doesn't clearly tell me what's the total cost. Imagine if you would go to buy something and dude at the store would say that, here's the book, it's only 500 pages of legal text, in there you can find what we will charge but if you want, you can just show me your credit card, take the product and go home, it's all cool man, go on now, just do it. You would probably walk out of the store and go to a store where they show you the total price you need to pay, without additional surprises. I think ITTO also illustrated the whole process of purchasing well earlier. Of course it's a different mindset when you think about money which you have in limited quantities (unless you found a way to do unauthorized private data extraction to millions) and when you think of private data which looks like it can be replicated unlimited times. Too bad many times it's simple private information that destroys people, families, employments and so on. So let's put it this way, what should Google pay you to know information that could potentially separate you from your family or cost you your reputation and job? How about business-wise? What about the latest research you did for the new project? How much would someone need to pay you to reveal your newest project?

I had a talk about this yesterday with my fiance's friend. She said "too bad I'll always be so unimportant I don't have to care about those things". That illustrates pretty well what's going on in general public's head simply because they don't think their data as a product that's worth of anything. People just don't understand the value of their data.
