Back in the '90s there was a quote floating around: "Personal information is the currency of the internet."  Flash forward to 2010 and it's "Americans Happily Exchange Privacy for Trinkets."  ZSuckerberg may have been cynical when he called his users dumb-asses, but he wasn't wrong.

Zuck is becoming the PTBarnum of our day. Handles the clown part swell as the ringleader as well.

Nice find RC, albeit increases my cynicism.

Zuck was a little late to realize that the real power is in the default settings. But, hey, he's just going to be a billionaire, so if we're keeping score in dollars....

BTW, various headlines say that around 2% of US FB users quit on Quit Facebook Day.  Zuck wins again vs the dumb-asses.

I will say one thing about Facebook that always gets me when I hear it.  Some guy forms and still runs a company who's threatening billionaire status (not sure exactly) yet people continue to moan about how "Facebook hasn't made any money yet." Huh?

That's called making tons of money but not letting others in the profit picture
