I love it... and am frightened at the same time. Will they implement the 3 primary rules outlined in I Robot (the book of course Wink ) to make sure we are safe? Sill the rules keep them at bay when they attain self awareness? Will Sarah Conner save humanity's collective ass? Only time will tell.

 Ditto Ditto

Jammer, where you watching the science channel just now
when you posted that by any chance?

The extreme machines episode on robots deals with this, perkiset.

They have made a robot that will go into for example a drug lords
home and transmit a picture back to the police and wait for authorization
to kill and they stressed 'A human must make the authorization to kill.'

I can see the headlines now.... ROBOCOP goes GPF and wastes microsoft Headquarters...

I just got a cold chill..

I saw the same special.

If that robot ever came in my house,
i would just ask it one question:

"What is 5 divided by zero?"

And then run from the ensuing explosion... ROFLMAO

Global Thermonuclear War seems to stump them as well.

I can't get my head around the advantage of biped movement to explore distant places...

because without bipedal, upright movement, we won't be as easily able to tower over our alien adversaries. Its the same reason people jack up their pickup trucks.

Also, its hard to get laid by bragging about being a space-man, when you dont actually ever go into space. "So what's it like on mars?", says the hot chick. You reply, "It looks pretty red up there."

Screw robots that can walk and talk, I just want a computer capable of being trained to solve any captcha on earth. Basically a computer with the capacity for learning of a 4 year old would suffice.
