This isn't really news, but if you've never checked out programming.reddit.com you should.

Reddit is like digg, except it is more for news than it is technical stuff. The user base could be best described as "geek liberals" if you ask me.

Anyway, programming.reddit.com is all about...wait for it...programming. There's alot of articles that nop will like because alot of the members there like to talk about functional programming (scheme, etc.). I avoid those articles at all costs.

Erlang + Yaws vs. Ruby on Rails

Erlang yaws webserver is intresting since theoretically it can carry 5 times as much load as an apache one.
www.blosker.com (a porn voting site) is implemented using yaws.
I have want to investigate erlang/yaws sometime.
