The connectedness and absaction at the same time was so novel and cool, i loved it. When I first got into it the docswere just crap, so looking through directories for text files that "did something" was the best. LOTS of late nights with that one.
Hehe, even I got in the game much later (around 1996), I still got to experience the feeling of exploring something that very few others were exploring. I remember when Zmodem thing came out and it was really awesome... it's funny how those times feel so awesome and it just proves how much all the innovations after that have disconnected us from the feeling of being able to do something noone before us had done.
