Think this thing is legit?  Only one way to find out; buy one, nubtballs, and give us a review.

"neuroheadset ...uses a set of sensors to tune into electric signals produced by the brain to detect player thoughts, feelings and expressions and connects wirelessly to most PCs."

Yeah the thing works. It's been demoed in TED talk and there's several videos floating about it. The problem with Emotiv is that they are getting really greedy and don't support extracting certain brainwaves that device is capable of reading. This eats away the usability for neurotechies who would love to get this thing if Emotiv would support them more. Now it's more about selling ridiculously expensive licenses.

>works

I figured it might, given that Mattel has the Mindflex basketball game out and there have been more than a few science articles about interpretive devices for brainwaves.

I've mentioned earlier that back 6 or 7 years ago I found Dragon Dictate to be pretty darn good at managing a browser  EXCEPT that I felt pretty silly sitting in a room talking to a monitor.  Here's a prediction for 2010-11: a neuro-technology headset "mouse" will be under $50.
